High’s new head

Shrewsbury High School (SHS) is set to welcome a new head when the autumn term begins in September. Ms Jo Sharrock has been appointed to take the reins at the girls’ school, moving from a deputy position at an independent school in Bristol.

As she looks ahead to taking up the reins, Ms Sharrock says, “From my very first visit to Shrewsbury High School I was struck by the warmth and friendliness of the school. It will be a privilege to lead Shrewsbury High through the next stage of its development and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone in September.”
