Live Arts’ piano boost

The Live Arts festival returns to Much Wenlock once again as part of the Wenlock Olympian Festival. Classes this year include Instrumental, Vocal, Dance and Speech and Drama. Entry to the various classes is open to girls and boys of school age, from Reception up to and including Y13, from Shropshire, Telford and wider afield.

In a major development this year, the Instrumental classes will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Much Wenlock instead of William Brookes School, where all other classes will take place. As well as providing a fantastic performance space, this will also give pianists the opportunity to use the grand piano the Church has recently acquired.

The festival will take place over the two weekends of the 9 and 16 March and performers of all abilities are welcome to take part, with entry forms required to have been submitted no later than Tuesday 15 January. Members of the public are invited to view all classes across the two weekends; admission is free. Further details, including a full list of the classes and entry forms for performers, can be found online.
