Walking for thousands

A Bridgnorth walking event raised thousands for charity. Organised by the town’s Rotary Club, last year’s annual ‘Up the Steps Walk’ took about two hours to complete. The course runs up the steps and down the streets between Low Town and High Town, with the route encompassing the oldest parts of Bridgnorth. There were 48 walkers who took part in the event, between them raising £3,000 for their different causes.

The Rotary Club would like the event to be used for clubs, schools, churches, along with local and national charities and this year’s walk will be on Sunday 4 October. For more information or to enter www.rotary-ribi.org
