‘Good Cheer’ on Gadget Show!

Members of the Bridgnorth Cheerleading Academy ‘Cheer Force Ten’ were given the opportunity to perform their routines on Channel 5’s popular Gadget Show and test out the latest high tech ‘gadgets for girls for Christmas’ alongside presenters Jason and Ortis. Rachael Swinnerton, who founded and runs the Academy, told What’s What: “It was a long day of filming, but lots of fun meeting the presenters and crew. The whole experience was a bit surreal with lighting equipment and cameras everywhere, and it was nerve-racking at first being a brand new squad; some of our members have never danced before now, but I am so proud of the Cheerleaders for their hard work and support. We were given jackets for filming from Bridgnorth Health and Fitness Centre, and would like to say a big thank you for those.”

Cheer Force Ten is the largest academy in the area, teaching in Bridgnorth and Telford. Classes are for all ages (3+) and abilities, for boys and girls. Rachael, who is a member of the British Cheerleading Association’s National Squad, coaches the sessions and is delighted to be representing England in Florida next year at their Americheer International Championships held in Disneyworld. “The Squad will be competing at the International Cheerleading Championships held in Telford International Centre in July next year. We promote team sportsmanship, self belief, confidence and physical fitness.” Anyone interested in cheerleading should call Rachael on 07966 966 026 or visit www.cheerforceten.co.uk
