Educating Rita

One of our best loved actors Stephen Tomkinson will be starring in Willy Russell’s ‘Educating Rita’ at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre.

This hilarious and heart-warming comedy won the Olivier award when it was produced in London’s West End by the RSC and was adapted into the multi award winning film which starred Julie Walters and Michael Caine.

Tomkinson plays Frank, Rita’s tutor, frustrated poet and borderline alcoholic who’s less than, about taking Rita (Jessica Johnson) on, but the two soon realise how much they have
to teach each other. ‘Educating Rita’ runs from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 July.
