Anyone for tennis?

The sportsmanship of Shropshire’s U14 boy’s tennis team was highlighted as they competed in the LTA’s annual U14 county cup.

Although the boys were beaten in the opening group game by home county Sussex, they then drew against Wiltshire and responded impressively to round off their weekend on the south coast by beating Cornwall.

Ryan Bedwell, who captained the side, said, “I was really proud of the team because apart from their game, we received a special mention from the referee regarding our sportsmanship throughout the weekend, which is exactly what tennis is about.”
