National success

Six students from Oldbury Wells School competed earlier this year in the British School’s Modern Biathlon Championships at Crystal Palace. Competing in five age categories, Jake Fretwell, Daniel Galloway, Elliott Fellows, Rhys Blower, Francesca Davies and Jess Knowles all finished in the top 34.
There were two top 10 performances with Jake Fretwell finishing in 10th place out of 104 in the U12, first in the 50m, followed by a first for Daniel Galloway in the U15. Daniel also came 2nd in the 1600m run and 6th in the 200m swim.
Congratulations to all six of our fantastic performers – Jake and Daniel as mentioned, Elliott Fellows, Rhys Blower, Francesca Davies and Jess Knowles. We wish them the best of luck going forward into the next year.
