Students raise vital funds

A group of Y10 students from Wolverhampton Grammar School have run the famous Wainwright Coast2Coast route of 187 miles from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay as a tag team in just 23 hours and 6 minutes to raise vital funds for the charity Sparks.
The school has run an annual Coast2Coast challenge for over 20 years. In preparation for their challenge, the students have undertaken 16 weeks of extreme training.
Each year the event raises thousands of pounds for a charity, chosen by the students taking part. For 2019, the students decided to support Sparks: a charity funding groundbreaking research into a wide range of conditions affecting children.
