Erin’s on track

Erin Marsh from a Telford BMX Club has brought home a British title after racing against the best riders in the country. The 10-year-old, who rides for the Wrekin Riders BMX Race Club in Dawley, took the British number eight spot in the BMX Championships 2019 at Derby. She was joined by over 20 fellow club members at the prestigious event.

Erin took the British number six place last year at her British Championship debut. She trains at the Duce Drive national standard track in Dawley and travels all over the country competing in both regional and national races. Erin says, “I love BMX racing as we all go as a family and my mum and brother race too.”

Kieran Edwards, club coach and chair, said, “As the club coach I’m so proud of Erin. She thoroughly deserved a place in that final and a British title. To see 23 riders from Wrekin qualify for the British Championships is brilliant.”
