Anyone for bowls?

Much Wenlock Bowling Club is working hard to reinvigorate its membership. The club, founded in the 1870s, is based on Much Wenlock’s Gaskell Recreation Ground. Chairman Peter Gyldard said, “We have four teams playing competitive crown green bowls against our neighbours in Telford and East Shropshire and we’re constantly working on improving our performance.”

Social bowling at the Club is also growing and beginners can be seen on the green improving their technique and receiving guidance from more experienced players. Membership enquiries can be made on the Club’s website muchwenlockbowling.club.
