Bridgnorth’s X-ray boost

The League of Friends of Bridgnorth Hospital have funded the purchase of over £150,000 worth of new state of the art digital X-ray equipment, which came into use in February. The new machines replace the older computerised models and will enable a more comprehensive radiography service to be provided locally.

League Chairman Ray Gill says, “We’re very pleased to be able to make such a great contribution to the facilities at Bridgnorth Hospital in this our 60th anniversary year. The League are immensely grateful to all those who continue to support our fundraising efforts.”

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust’s chief executive Jan Ditheridge adds, “We are grateful to the League of Friends at Bridgnorth Hospital for their fantastic and ongoing support to our organisation and their local community.

“This latest contribution represents a significant investment in new equipment at Bridgnorth Hospital, which will serve patients for many years to come. It will allow us to enhance and expand our X-Ray services, leading to a real improvement in patient experience.”
