Dahl day at Tettenhall

As part of the programme to introduce children to their new school library, and to celebrate Roald Dahl Day, pupils at Tettenhall College were invited to take part in a quiz based on the life and works of Roald Dahl.

Demonstrating his knowledge about Dahl’s highly imaginative tales, the winner of the quiz was Jamie, who took home a certificate and a chocolate bar or two – no Wonka bars, unfortunately…. This event was part of the school’s programme to encourage and develop reading for pleasure. Children have reading lessons in the library as well as using it during their free time, and competitions and challenges help to keep reading fun and exciting.
