Moor Park performs

A new dance and drama facility opened at Moor Park in September, providing updated spaces for Speech and Dramas students at the school. At this year’s Hereford Performing Arts Festival, the school amassed four bronze, 9 silver and 10 gold awards. Music is popular at the school, with 95 children from Y1 to 8 now studying a musical instrument and playing in ensembles such as jazz band, orchestra, junior strings and guitar group.

The new facility includes a studio with technical lighting, staging and sound system, a projector system, and workshop space. Individual teaching rooms have been added for both drama and music tuition, all with state-of-the-art sound systems, pianos, mirrors and acoustic walling. The centre was opened by Mr Bury of the Millichope Foundation, and the facility is open to children beyond the school as well thanks to the Marches Youth Orchestra, which meets on a Saturday morning.
