Football-mad youngsters from Gambia are looking champion after kind-hearted players from AFC Bridgnorth Spartans donated their kit. Pupils from Bridgnorth’s Castlefields Primary School also donated stationery, books and £5,474 through their own fundraising to the Abooku Reading Scheme.
AFC Bridgnorth Spartans fundraising officer Kelly Woodcock said, “The club was delighted to hear that the kit has already been put to good use. It’s wonderful that this sense of unity can be shared.”
