Local monopoly

A famous board game has finally come to Shropshire with the first edition of Shrewsbury Monolpoly being launched before Christmas. It’s the first time a Shropshire town has been chosen and residents were invited to vote on the local place names featured. The game was available to pre-order and sold out before it hit the shelves – a second print run is underway.

The local edition has 30 landmarks including statues, schools, festivals and parks. Community chest and Chance are occupied by four charities, with Shropshire Kid’s Festival, The Dingle and Shrewsbury Castle also winning a square each.
