Computer challenge

A Much Wenlock student was this January invited to the finals of a prestigious computing competition. William Brookes student Ted Ibberson qualified for the University of Oxford-run UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, beating almost 80,000 other applicants in the process.

The challenge, supported by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, is a problem-solving competition designed to get students excited about computing and computational theory.

In recognition of his success in the competition, Ted was presented with his finalist’s certificate at a prize-giving ceremony at Hertford College, Oxford on Saturday 25 January.
