Winning design

Last year, the team from AGA Rangemaster Group set Shrewsbury College Art & Design students a challenge to create a design to be used on their textile products. The ultimate winner was Georgia Hudson who, along with course leader Helen Morgan, recently travelled to Porto in Portugal to see her design printed on fabric.

Georgia said, “The trip was so exciting for me as it was my first time abroad. To visit the factories and see the processes involved in the production of textiles was fascinating. I feel very privileged to have had this opportunity and can’t wait to see the products in store.”

The design has now been printed onto fabric and made into AGA kitchen textiles, including chefs’ pads and oven gloves. AGA has offered a donation of the profits of the ‘Blackthorn Winter’ collection to a charity of Georgia’s choice, Georgia has selected Severn Hospice as her chosen charity. The collection will be on sale soon, in stores and online at aga-cookshop.co.uk.
