WI is 85 this month!

Born in May 1926, Morville Women’s Institute will be celebrating its 85th anniversary with a full programme of speakers and events, including wine tasting, the hilarious speaker Ruth Moore Williams, and a meeting at Morville Hall. Since its inception, Morville WI has met with the challenges presented by changing times; raising funds to build Morville Village hall in 1933, producing knitwear for the armed forces during WW2, and initiating ‘Keep Fit’ classes in the Sixties.

The WI remains open to new ideas and new members, and meets at 7.15pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Morville Village Hall. Contact President Anne Perry on 01746 763676 for more information.
