Carnival fever

Bridgnorth carnival

Both Bridgnorth and Shifnal will be holding their annual carnivals on Saturday 27 June. Bridgnorth Carnival gets underway in May with the appointment of the Carnival Royalty who will take pride of place in the procession, which leaves Tasley livestock and auction centre at noon to make its way to Severn Park where a host of live entertainment and stalls awaits. Family entertainment will be in the arena from 1.30pm with live music from 5pm to 10pm.

In Shifnal, the carnival queen and her attendants were appointed at a special disco in March. The Shifnal Carnival procession will leave Admirals Close at 2.45pm, finishing at the Village Hall car park.

To get involved with the Bridgnorth event, call 01746 762231 or email events@bridgnorthtowncouncil.gov.uk. To get involved with the Shifnal carnival, contact Angela Rockell on 01952 289704.
