Bridgnorth Athletics Club recently received notification from England Athletics that they have won the Athletics Club of the Year for the West Midland Region, with coach Stuart Hamilton being recognised as regional Athletics Coach of the Year. The club is also a finalist for the UK Community Athletics Club of the year, to be announced at the UK Hall of Fame awards.

The club hosted the second fixture of season in brilliant sunshine at Oldbury Wells in October, and Bridgnorth athletes put in another commanding performance, determined to defend the titles they won last year. Bridgnorth almost completed a clean sweep of victories, with the U11, U13, U15 boys and U11, U13 and U15 girls winning, and U17 boys and girls both coming in second. Bridgnorth also won the overall club competition, with best individual performances by Andy Jones and Oliver Carvell. Much Wenlock Athletics Club is set to stage the third fixture on Sunday 6 November.
