Offside rule

Wednesday 27 June sees a journey through the decades to tell the story of four women in different eras who live, breathe and play football. ‘Offside’ brings the beautiful game to Theatre Severn through lyrical dialogue, poetry, and punchy prose, and places the audience on the touchline of the game of a lifetime.

This crowd-funded show has been written by lauded spoken-word artists Sabrina Mahfouz and Hollie McNish and follows two characters who fight for their place in the professional game. ‘Offside’ evolved after extensive research into the experiences of professional footballers including players from Manchester City Women’s FC and Millwall’s Lionesses.

The show starts at 8pm, with tickets priced at £16. Visit theatresevern.co.uk for full details.
