Peter Tatchell in Shrewsbury

Shropshire Rainbow Film Festival is screening the film Hating Peter Tatchell on Sunday 6th March, 3pm, at The Hive, Shrewsbury.

“This is the profound life story of the controversial human rights campaigner whose provocative acts of  civil disobedience rocked the British establishment, revolutionised attitudes to homosexuality and exposed tyrants in the fight for equality,” said the film’s writer and director Chris Amos.

Hating Peter Tatchell is narrated by Ian McKellen and features, amongst others, Stephen Fry and Archbishop Carey. Peter Tatchell will be present for a question and answer session after the film.

Peter Roscoe, one of the organisers, said, “This is a rare opportunity to meet one of the major human rights campaigners and activists in the UK, who has received many awards for his work” Call 01743 234970 or visit https://events.hiveonline.org.uk/whats-on/hating-peter-tatchell for more information.
