Hills Ford Stages Rally moves into Shropshire

The Hills Ford Stages, one of the UK’s premier closed-road motorsport events, returns on 19–20 September 2026 — this time in Shropshire. Organised by Cheltenham Motor Club, one of the UK’s oldest motor clubs, the move marks an exciting new chapter, bringing top-level rallying to a county ready to embrace the action.

The 2026 edition will feature a service area and ceremonial start in Shrewsbury, placing the rally at the heart of the community. Saturday’s afternoon stages will run at a historic private estate, once part of the legendary RAC Rally, giving fans a nostalgic yet thrilling experience. Sunday will showcase a series of road rally classics through the Shropshire Hills, combining technical challenge with stunning scenery.

Clerk of the Course Dan  said:
“Shropshire Council has been hugely supportive, and we’re working with them and local stakeholders to deliver the wide-ranging benefits the rally will bring. This move lets us design fresh routes while creating new opportunities for fans, volunteers, and local businesses.”

Title Sponsor Hills Ford continues its long-standing support, providing vehicles, resources, and funding to help the not-for-profit event run smoothly.

The Hills Ford Stages has a strong community focus, working with schools, local groups, and young people through its ‘Get Involved’ programme, which offers volunteering, skills development, and career pathways in motorsport.
With dates and locations now confirmed, fans and competitors are encouraged to book accommodation early and prepare for one of the UK’s most exciting closed-road rallies.
