Supporting Broseley’s isolated

A brand new Befriending Service has been launched which is available to everyone who lives in Broseley and feels isolated at home.

Organisers are currently looking for volunteers to help with the service that will support those in the community who would like to retain their links with others and stay connected to the wider Broseley community. The scheme will support isolated people by arranging regular visits and helping them to get out and about.

The Broseley Befriending Service is based at The Friendly Bus offices at the top of High Street , which also runs a Good Neighbours scheme to help with light and occasional shopping, DIY, gardening and prescription and library  collections.

Anyone interested in volunteering, and who can spare an hour or two a week to make a huge difference to someone’s life, is asked to contact Julia Sockett on 07969 195789 or the Friendly Bus on 01952 881145 . Full training will be provided and a DBS check arranged.
