Coat of many colours

Schools in the Bridgnorth area were asked by the Bridgnorth Fairtrade Group, to produce artwork that would promote Fairtrade to the general public, and textile students at Oldbury Wells School did just that by designing and producing this technicoloured dreamcoat using Fairtrade packaging.

“It is a truly collaborative effort,” said teacher Elizabeth Bell, “year 13 textiles students Ellice Bishop, William Dill-Russell, Samantha Orme, Sian Thomas and Emily Tennant helped to start the layout and year 9 pupils assembled the panels and finished if off with Oldbury Wells and Fairtrade logo buttons.”

“The coat is fabulous” said Reverend Ray Gill, chair of the Fairtrade group, “I think it would be difficult for anywhere else in the country to match this inspirational creative outcome.”
