Following the success of their webinars for Plastic Free July 2021 and Plastic Free Feb 2022, Sustainable Bridgnorth are offering guest presentations at the beginning of their monthly meetings throughout this year. These will take place on 2nd Thursday of every month at 7.30pm. Tomorrow’s meeting and the one in February are via Zoom, the rest at Cartway Church.
The talks will mainly be by local groups and organisations discussing what they are doing to help the environment and nature. Some may offer future possibilities such as the January 12th meeting on ‘Solar Streets’ – a community discount scheme for buying solar PV systems. For Plastic Free February (9th), Sustainable Bridgnorth will be hosting a virtual screening of ‘The Story of Plastic’ followed by a discussion session on Zoom.
Kath Norgrove, Chair of Sustainable Bridgnorth, said, “We have lots of organisations contacting us wanting to talk to us about what they are doing. We thought it would be a great idea to open it up to the public, so they can get more involved with the various activities the group undertakes.”
“The aim is to help raise awareness about a more sustainable society and showcase local volunteer groups and others who are taking actions towards us becoming a more climate-friendly and greener community”.
