Lifesaving support

Residents at Hollins Park in Quatford have had an on-site defibrillator installed following the support of local organisations and businesses. Beryl Haywood led the campaign but, despite community efforts, her team were unable to raise the total amount needed funds to install the £1,600 defibrillator.

She explained, “I approached various organisations for help and the West Midlands Ambulance Service amazed us when they said they would give us one for nothing. Bridgnorth Lions provided us storage cabinet and CDI Electrical installed it for free. The generosity of those people meant we had a surplus of funds which will be used for the maintenance equipment.”

Beryl added, “I’d like to thank all the organisations and residents who helped make the installation of this lifesaving equipment possible. Let’s hope this is an insurance policy we never have to use.”
