Can you be a friend?

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin is urgently in need of ‘befriending volunteers’ in Bridgnorth to spend a couple of hours a week visiting an older person for company and conversation as part of their No One Should Have No One campaign. Volunteers give support by visiting the older person’s own home, enjoying a drink and a chat, reminiscing and encouraging hobbies and accompanying them to come along to local activities. To find out more, call Janice or Claire on 01743 588570, email volunteering@ageukstw.org.uk or visit ageukshropshireandtelford.org.uk.
