Wenlock-based wildlife rescue centre Cuan House has launched a major fundraising initiative for a new purpose-built centre with the opening of a charity shop. The centre, which has actor John Challis as one of its patrons, has opened its shop at the former Barclays Bank premises in Much Wenlock High Street and an appeal is being made for donations of quality clothes, books and other items. The charity is aiming to net £450,000 for its new centre and the opening of the shop marks the beginning of its major fundraising effort.
