Farm result

Planners will have to go back to the drawing board after judges quashed proposals for a poultry farm near Bridgnorth. The proposed site, in Tasley, had been the subject of a campaign by locals who were opposed to it on the basis of health and environmental issues.
The court ruled that the pre-planning consent assessment of the impact on residents caused by smell and dirt following the disposal of chicken manure on nearby fields was not properly considered by Shropshire Council when it approved the plans. The Council will now reconsider the plans.
