Find your way…

Join Ordnance Survey enthusiast Helen Wood for a humorous exploration of the much-loved, fold-out, paper map. This Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show takes a fascinating, laughter-filled, virtual ramble and celebrates the simple beauty of Britain’s inspiring national treasure. Helen introduces key characters from Ordnance Survey history, grapples with a selection of rambling gadgets and shares out the Kendal Mint Cake.

She co-wrote and performed, as Levick and Wood, in the sell-out comedy, ‘The Usherettes’.
This was followed in 2016 by Helen’s first solo comedy show, ‘What Kind of Fool am I?’

Helen said, “During the show I take the audience on a virtual ramble, along the ancient byways of the no. 168, 4cm to 1km, Explorer map. On our ‘walk’ together we meet colourful characters, hear amusing anecdotes and pause frequently to admire the view.”

You can see Helen on Saturday 6 July at 7.30pm at Playhouse Cinema, Leominster. Visit artsalive.co.uk for details.
