New principal at Moreton

The beginning of the academic year heralded the arrival of the new principal at Moreton Hall. George Budd takes over the reins from Jonathan Forster, who has retired after 27 years at the helm. George, along with his wife Nicky, join Moreton Hall from Godolphin School in Wiltshire.

George was educated at Hampton School and Durham University before embarking on a teaching career in both state and independent sectors.

Speaking at the start of the term, George said, “Nicky and I are thrilled to have made the move to Shropshire. We were so impressed with the strong sense of community at Moreton Hall from the moment we first arrived and are delighted to now call this wonderful school our home. We look forward to meeting Moretonians and parents past, present and future.”
