Bands’ 30th anniversary

The team at WW! would like to send our very best wishes to Alveley Village Band in recognition of their 30th anniversary!  Like many other local bands, choirs, and theatre groups their celebration event  in May has been cancelled.  The concert was especially poignant to all, as it was also to  commemorate their much-loved founder – Mr Colin Jones MBE, who sadly died earlier this year.

Musical director, Ed Taylor commented “We were very much looking forward to playing a passionate mix of village tunes and some old favourites which would have been a fitting tribute to Colin”

The band hope to resume rehearsals soon and dependent on guidelines, their next concert will be Wednesday 23 September at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.  For more info visit www.alveleyvilliageband.com .
