A hairdressing salon in Much Wenlock has been shortlisted for three major national awards by an international company.

Salon Ten, in Much Wenlock High Street, entered a number of categories in a prestigious competition run by international company Great Lengths, which supplies hair extension products, and this week found out they had had been shortlisted for three awards.

“We are in the final three for the marketing, ‘Tomorrow’s Look’ and Salon of the Year categories,” said salon owner Nicky Marcar.

“This is the first time we have entered the competition – we have been in business for just five years – and we were completely shocked to have been shortlisted in three categories, one would have been amazing!

“The whole Salon Ten team will be attending the award ceremony at the Mayfair Hotel in London on September 9 and we are competing against some of the capital’s top salons.

“To achieve this kind of recognition is incredible and we still can’t believe it – at Salon Ten we work very much as a team and I would like to thank everyone at the salon for their tremendous efforts.”

The award winners will be announced at the September 9 ceremony.
