A vision for Bridgnorth Town

Vision Bridgnorth is the new charitable local interest group set up to ensure the ambitions expressed in the Bridgnorth Town Plan by members of the local community are delivered.

Vision Bridgnorth Riverside 1

There has been some great progress over recent months, particularly work on clearing the vegetation from the Riverside and the building of the new skate park on Crown Meadow. Both these initiatives were ranked as top priorities for many residents in the questionnaires completed, and although there has been frustration around how long they have taken to come to fruition, they are now forging ahead.

The Vision Bridgnorth group has formed four themed groups around key areas of interest:

  • Bridgnorth Town Centre, which will focus on the appearance of the town centre, transport and shopping;
  • Bridgnorth Economy, which is concerned with the economic wellbeing of the town, including issues such as employment, training and learning, tourism and commerce;
  • The Bridgnorth Environment group, which has a wide remit and will look at the town’s environment, housing and development, crime and community safety;
  • The Bridgnorth Community group, which will look at health and wellbeing, sports and leisure, community facilities and youth provision.
