St George’s Park Nursing Home and Roden Hall Care Home will hold Harvest Festival celebrations and Macmillan Coffee Mornings, on Friday September 27. Residents, families, and the local community are invited to join the events, which include a series of activities aimed at celebrating the season and raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year’s Harvest Festival is set to be a lively occasion, filled with autumnal activities that honour the season’s bounty. The festival holds special meaning for many residents and their families, especially those with agricultural backgrounds. The event not only celebrates the hard work involved in farming but also emphasises the importance of giving back, with both homes collecting food bank donations throughout September.
The day will begin at Roden Hall at 10am with a MacMillan coffee morning, followed by an afternoon of singing and entertainment from Paul Watkins, refreshments, and harvest festivities from 2pm.
