Prestigious award for Bridgnorth cafe

Bridgnorth’s Gatehouse Cafe has scooped the prestigious title of England Business Awards Best Cafe in Shropshire for 2025.

The St Mary’s Street cafe, known for its traditional home-cooked food and welcoming atmosphere, has become a hub for the local community. The dedicated team behind this success, mother and daughter Shona and Tasha Baynham, along with Laura Snijder, are thrilled with the recognition. Their passion for quality food and creating a friendly space clearly resonated with customers and competition judges.

Adding to the celebrations, the Gatehouse Cafe is marking its fourth birthday on 26 May. The Gatehouse is also known for its popular monthly special themed evenings, cementing its place at the heart of Bridgnorth life.
