Summer launch of new Bridgnorth choir

A new contemporary community choir has been launched in Bridgnorth.

‘Escapism,’ a ‘boost’ and a ‘lifeline’ are all words used by Got 2 Sing Choir members to describe what being in a choir means to them. And now the people of Bridgnorth will have the opportunity to experience it for themselves when the choir launches locally on Thursday 5 June, 7.30pm.

Venue is St Leonards Primary School, Innage Lane, Bridgnorth, with an invitation to attend this ‘free taster’ thrown open to the community to experience the joy of singing on its opening night. Anyone aged 18 and over is welcome.

Choir Leader Charlie Jones said, “Our new choir promises a friendly and inclusive environment for those looking to try something new, to come together and enjoy creating live music, with the added bonus that no experience is required whatsoever and no auditions!

“We are not just a traditional type of choir, we sing and we have lots of fun in the process! We take popular songs, from current chart hits to golden oldies and bring them to life with harmony and simple movement. We love performing too. This may include anything from festivals, tours and parties in the park to our own sell-out concerts. You don’t have to be brilliant at singing or able to read music, we would just love you to join us and share in the fun!”

Anyone wishing to experience what Got 2 Sing Choir offers simply has to turn up at the opening night for a ‘free taster session.’
