Film fans and families are being promised a premiere with a difference when Severn Hospice hosts its first Sunset Cinema festival, in aid of a £5 million appeal. The charity, which cares for families living with incurable illness in Shropshire and Mid Wales, is providing three nights of movie magic at Hawkstone Park Follies near Shrewsbury.
The charity’s team are showing silver screen classics Some Like It Hot, The Lion King, and Dirty Dancing to support its expansion plans to better care for families in their own homes. Severn Hospice’s Lucy Ruff says, “This will be our first ever outdoor film event so we’ve gone big… and we really hope film fans and families will join us for what promises to be a really special weekend.”
The films are being shown on successive nights from Thursday 26 July to 28 July, with gates opening from 7pm and all films starting at 9pm, as the sun starts to set. Find tickets at severnhospice.org.uk/events.
