Walker for Brian

The Bridgnorth Lions recently donated to an appeal from local businessman Kevin Bellwood, to help a 5-year-old in Uganda who suffers from Cerebral Palsy.

Roobarb director Kevin and his partner Marcia regularly visit Uganda, where they both volunteer at a children’s centre, housing and schooling vulnerable South Sudanese children. They met Brian last year and wanted to help raise money for a Flux Walker, which they hope will help him straighten his back and legs enabling him to walk.

“We needed to raise a £1000 and were delighted when The Lions came forwarded and kick started the fund with £300. With this and several other donations from our generous customers, we were able to raise the funds needed,” reported Kevin.

Kevin and Marica have just returned from Kampala after delivering the walker to a delighted Brian!
