Brown Clee buddies

A Shropshire school has teamed up with their local care home. Each week four pupils from Brown Clee CE Primary School in Ditton Priors visit the home and share stories, sing songs, play games, do puzzles or just enjoy a chat with the residents.

“The children have developed increased confidence and self-management skills and the residents experiencing an increase in social interaction and reduced isolation. It was wonderful to see all the smiles on the residents’ faces and hear them joining in with the songs. The children really enjoyed it too!” said headteacher, Sue Relph.
