Children’s books from Meg

Meg Hawkins

Burwarton photographer Meg Hawkins has just published a series of children’s books, which she has written and illustrated.

Based around the characters Scratch and Hedgy, the books are bright and cheerful with an underlying moral about staying safe, letting someone know where you are, and being helpful. “I hope they provide just a little food for thought for young children – being a mum I’m always keen to instil these values so I think it came naturally when creating the stories,” said Meg. Having studied art and graphics in the past, Meg is delighted to be expressing herself with a pad and pencil once again and draws her inspiration from the countryside around her, and the “amazing” author and illustrator Roald Dahl.

The books are available from www.meghawkinsillustrations.co.uk Amazon and online at bookshops.
