Inn crowd

‘Down the Pub’ with Luke Wright has been described as flamboyant, political and riotously funny. Part Essex wide boy, part dandy fop, Luke writes from the sidelines about small-town tragedies and national farce, then performs his work with snarl and spit.

Luke has written and performed nine spoken word shows and two verse plays, touring them to top literary and arts festivals. He formed the poetry collective, Aisle16, with Ross Sutherland in 2000, which was commissioned by Candida Lycett Green to commemorate the centenary of her father, John Betjeman’s birth which was later made into a film.

Join Luke on Friday 12 July, 7.30pm at Clungunford Village Hall. Visit artsalive.co.uk for details.
