Christmas Day Lunch Clubs 2017 – local arrangements

Local charity Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin has put together a list of places in Shropshire offering Christmas lunches for older people.

There is no need to be alone and miss out on the festive cheer this year. Christmas lunch clubs are on offer right across the county at a variety of venues on Christmas Day. The lunch clubs are specifically to provide a hot meal and companionship for older people over the festive season.

Please note these details have been compiled by Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin and may be subject to change. Please check with the venue organiser.

All the following lunches take place on Christmas Day (25 December)


Company at Christmas – 11am – 3pm

Helena Lane Day Centre, 20 Hamlet Road, Ludlow SY8 2NP

Must be booked in advance. £10, but if this is a problem Churches Together Around Ludlow can help. Transport can be arranged for those who need it.


Together at Christmas – 12.15pm

Town Hall, West Castle Street, Bridgnorth WV16 4AB

If living over a mile from Bridgnorth, transport will be needed. If difficult, call to see if a lift can be arranged.


Open House Community – 10am – 2pm

Festive Friends – 11.30pm – 3pm

Must be booked. 2 course lunch. Sherry, mince pies, entertainment. Vegetarian option available as standard. Check for other dietary requirements. Suggested donation of £7. Transport and can pair up with volunteer.
