A transformative partnership

A Midlands tile emporium has joined forces with an architect and TV presenter to help people transform their homes into ‘amazing spaces’. Tile Choice, which opened its first outlet in Wolverhampton and now has branches across the country, has teamed up with George Clarke – and the TV personality and campaigner will be paying a visit to selected stores soon.

Some of George’s TV programmes include Old House New Home, Amazing Spaces and Restoration Man. George believes that “home is the most powerful form of architecture; one which affects us all, and if you’re lucky enough to have a warm and comfortable roof over your head, it’s a very special place indeed.”

Marketing director Lee Rudkin explains, “Like us, George Clarke believes the home is a special place and that transforming it into our very own haven is simple and affordable – creating a home that reflects your character doesn’t have to cost the earth.
“George values the process that enables people to unlock the beauty of where they live – and tiles are one way to transform the look and feel of your home without resorting to disruptive building work. For all of us, there’s no place like home; this is the space that allows a creative form of expression. We can all experiment with our environment to improve the way we live… and hopefully learn something new along the way!”

In his TV programmes, George aims to challenge the notion that great design is only accessible to the few, and he emphasises the benefit of sharing knowledge with a skilled team, whether undertaking a brave restoration or a newbuild on a budget – and Lee also recognises the value of working together: “We believe style shouldn’t be restricted by budget, and we’re always here to advise people on how best to achieve their look at a price point that works for them. We’re really looking forward to teaming up with George and getting more of an idea about how to transform your home in a way that’s right for you.”
