Bridgnorth Spartans Exchange

Spartan’s football players and their families hosted children from football team S C Muhlried, from Schrobenhausen, Bridgnorth’s twin town in Bavaria, Germany. The Schrobenhausen visitors enjoyed a Welcome Reception at the Low Town Community Hall and playing in a fun Mini Football Tournament, with mixed teams – children from Schrobenhausen and Bridgnorth playing alongside each other.

Other highlights were visits to Alton Towers, Blists Hill Victorian Town, sailing at Chelmarsh, a Hog Roast supper, presentation and disco. The Schrobenhausen visitors finished their action packed week leaving Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway, having forged friendships, shared their passion for football, and got to know Bridgnorth.
