The Oteley Estate in Ellesmere has two dates remaining for its local market and open gardens this year. The final 2021 dates are Saturday, September 11 and Saturday, October 9.

The market is free to attend and will be held in the original stable yard. Local businesses from within a 30-mile radius will be selling local food, drink, crafts, jewellery, and fashion.

Clare Mainwaring from the family team said, “Launching the open garden and market events this year has been fantastic. It has given us a way to champion other local businesses, something that’s really important to the ethos of Oteley. We have also welcomed so many lovely visitors from the area, who have loved discovering a new nook of Shropshire and our fantastic view across the mere.

The market is free to attend and tickets are available to explore the 10 acres of garden for £5 per adult, with children free. Visitors can search out a boathouse, walled garden, tower, swiss cottage and the spectacular view across the mere.

The gardens and market will be open from 10am until 5pm, with last entry at 3pm. There is plenty of parking on site and dogs on leads are welcome. Tickets can be purchased on the gate or in advance from www.oteley.com/our-events.
