Family honoured for 30 years of helping good causes

A Broseley family has been recognised for their charity and community fundraising efforts over the past 30 years and their involvement with many community causes.

Wilf, Debbie, and Daniel Glaze have been raising money by decorating their house at Christmas for over 30 years, raising money for local charities and community groups. Debbie was made president of Bridgnorth Gateway Club – MENCAP for her dedication to fundraising for the charity several years ago.

The Glaze family have also run Broseley Festival since 2018 with a team of volunteers bringing one of Shropshire’s most popular two-day music festival’s to the town.

Over the past 30 years the Glaze family have raised over £180,000 for various charities and community groups including Midland Air Ambulance, MENCAP, Broseley Festival CIC,  Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital and Broseley FoodShare.

Wilf, Debbie, and Daniel attended Birmingham’s Signature Awards organised by Nachural  and were the winners of the Community Excellence Award 2022. Daniel said, “It was an honour to be recognised with so many other deserving winners and finalists. A big thank you to The Signature Awards for a brilliant evening and we are elated to receive the award.”
