Art fans and nosey parkers alike will love this year’s Bridgnorth Open House Arts Trail. Within the walls of some of the town’s oldest buildings and behind the doors of private homes, visitors will be able to see the work of more than 40 artists over the weekend of 9 and 10 June. All venues are within easy walking distance of each other, with opportunities for refreshments along the way in the town’s many cafes and restaurants.
Organiser Victoria Commander says, “The art on show will include painting and drawing, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, glasswork, photography, textiles and prints. Everything will be for sale – or you can just look and enjoy the displays.”
The Arts Trail is the brainchild of a group of local women with a shared enthusiasm for art, and a desire to combine this with an event that will benefit the town and provide a showcase for local and professional artists.
