Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival

bn arts fest 2

Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival is now in its ninth year and is the biggest free festival in Shropshire; with music, arts, comedy, animation, film, dance, and poetry events around the district spanning ten days. The event kicks off with a photography exhibition and launch evening on Friday 22 August at BamBoo Wine Bar.

One of the most widely anticipated events is the rock festival at the Edgar Davies Ground on Saturday 23 August. Appearing on stage from noon are local rock band Twisted Species, plus Stourbridge band Of Kings and Captains, who are supporting Bon Jovi on tour, Stolen Comfort and Butterfly Stone. In the evening, renowned Pink Floyd tribute band Darkside will perform a complete concert enhanced by the band’s laser light show, which promises to be an amazing experience on a warm summer evening in the riverside setting.

The main high street stage event will be on Sunday 24 August running alongside the Children’s Festival and Food Fair. Headline acts include Simple Minds tribute band Alive and Kicking, Thom & Chrisbee, Astrid’s Tea Party, The Rainbreakers, Rhino and the Ranters and Synergy. The Quayside stage is the setting on Bank Holiday Monday and Castle Hall will play host to a comedy extravaganza on Saturday 30 August.

One of the most exciting artistic performers at the festival will be virtual abstract artist Street Art Drop, who’ll be painting live to music and getting involved with the audience.
